The utility billing services for two multifamily communities located outside of Houston, TX were recently transferred to WaterWatch Corporation. WaterWatch will use a Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) to generate the water, sewer and trash bills for the 400 apartments located in these two communities. WaterWatch will also distribute the utility bills and collect payments.

“Many property owners chose to use utility allocation over submetering because there is little to no initial investment required,” John Paul, vice president of operations for WaterWatch Corporation, said. “The utility bill is determined by a formula, which divides the meter usage among residents. The formula is typically based on factors such as the square footage and number of occupants in each unit.”

For 15 years, WaterWatch has successfully worked with hundreds of property owners to control and reduce utility expenses through utility submetering. WaterWatch offers an array of services including installation, meter reading, resident invoicing and payment collections.
