Regional Sales Manager

Employment Type – Full Time

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Eastern region of the U.S., and will preferably reside in Georgia, North Carolina, or Maryland, however, other Eastern cities with the appropriate market demographics could be considered.

The successful candidate will work from a home-based office within the sales territory and report to Director of Sales.

In addition to a proven sales record, the successful candidate must be knowledgeable in basic mechanical building systems, such as plumbing and HVAC systems. A thorough understanding of sub-metering equipment and installation procedures is essential.   Candidates with a fundamental knowledge of the multifamily housing and commercial real estate development industries will be given top priority.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain database of general contractors, subcontractors, developers, vendors, and others within the multifamily and commercial real estate industry
  • Create and maintain database of current owners/property management companies seeking a fresh alternative to their current billing providers.
  • Develop a territory specific timetable of new construction multifamily projects up for bid
  • Develop a territory specific timetable of existing multifamily and commercial properties in need of retrofit sub-metering and billing services
  • Maintain database of sales purchase orders/proposals and billing service agreements for current and potential clients
  • Create innovative and impactful marketing materials to present to potential clients and display at industry trade shows
  • Contact or meet with potential clients to educate them about WaterWatch sub-metering systems and services
  • Create and present sales proposals to potential clients
  • Represent WaterWatch and its products and services at industry trade shows
  • Work with the WaterWatch Project Coordinator to insure seamless and timely project delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Communications or related area preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience (preferably in the multifamily industry) with proven record of success
  • Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision and have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • A book of business contacts and leads is preferred
  • Ability to evaluate profit/loss scenarios
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM applications
